The United States is Not United
Using that title as the name our country, is laughable. The definition of “united” is…
joined together politically, for a common purpose, or by common feelings
The only time We the People were united for a common purpose, was when we stormed the land, claimed it as our own, and committed genocide against the original inhabitants; instead of moving into the new “neighborhood”, and making friends with our neighbors. And, even though we’ve been an official country for 244 years, Indigenous people are still being treated like a Third World country by federal, state, and local governments.
Once we became our own Nation, the division began with the concept of political parties, back in 1787; the leaders of the New World began disagreeing about how much power their new government should have. The Federalist Party wanted a strong, centralized government; and buddied up to what would later become known as Corporate America. The Anti-Federalists wanted states rights; and a country where We the People took care of ourselves, and each other, in an agrarian society. The two main political parties that govern our country, haven't stopped bickering, since!
The Constitution of the United States consists of more than just the Bill of Rights; but how can any country form a "more perfect union" when they can't agree on how to run the country?
The Preamble is the introduction to the Constitution. The goals are very clear.
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
They should've worded it better, though; the only people who have ever mattered in this country are the White, rich men who run the show. Let me explain...
Establish Justice - there is no justice in owning slaves, or treating marginalized groups like second-class citizens. Unfortunately, that's been a reality for the USA, since it's inception. Immigrants have always been treated with disdain by businesses, and the government. And we still have slaves (sex trafficking victims), 156 years after the 13th Amendment became a thing. Society also continues to see women as incubators and domestic staff, rather than productive members of society. Where's the justice?
Provide for the common defense - the United States has been invaded by foreign countries, a handful of times throughout history; but since 9-11 we've been the invading force. We seem to be more interested in conquering the world, than in keeping our own people safe from any invaders (foreign or domestic).
Promote the general welfare - In order for the government to promote the general welfare of We the People, they'd actually have to care about us, first. Since the birth of our country, the government has been more interested in power, than in taking care of those who put them in positions of power. And in the 244 years we've been a country, the more power they have, the less they care about us; except when it comes to us voting for them, and how we're being good worker bees.
Concerning what the general welfare of a nation would be, let's start with meeting basic needs; in order to live the American Dream, We the People need nutritious food to keep ourselves healthy, a safe shelter to call home, a living wage to take care of ourselves and our families, quality healthcare (in case we get sick, or injured); and a quality education, so we can thrive in the business world.
We also need for the government to regulate Corporate America, so that We the People don't get taken advantage of, by them. They need to have rules to follow, that get enforced; and penalties, when they break the rules. What they do no need, is any influence over our government.
Secure the blessings of liberty - (as long as those future generations are from rich, White, straight, Christian families) The definition of "Liberty" is...
the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one's way of life, behavior, or political views.
The more power the federal government has, the less power we have; every time they write up more laws, our freedoms become fewer. Indigenous people, and other people of color, have been fighting for the right to be treated like human beings for centuries; they have almost no liberty! Black people don't even have the liberty to live as Black people, anymore; they're getting slaughtered, left and right, just for being Black folks. They've become scapegoats for inappropriate, and illegal behavior perpetrated against them.
The National Slogan of "We are a Christian Nation!" is the loophole our government found use for, to usurp the First Amendment religious freedom clause; freedom of religion is a right for all citizens of the United States. Technically, they haven't written any laws, declaring Christianity the State Religion; but there is a general consensus among We the People that the Christian belief system is the only one to follow. And our government feeds that propaganda narrative to us, whenever it gets challenged.
The Constitution also says We the People have the right to peacefully protest, and express our grievances to our government; however, the government doesn't like being told we don't like what's going on, so they've decided we should be arrested, pepper sprayed, tear gassed, and ridiculed for expressing our grievances. The very government sworn to uphold the Constitution, is violating our rights! The current volume of riots and looting was orchestrated by outside groups, intent on causing trouble for the protesters; they succeeded.
The government has its hand in so many things We the People do, on a regular basis, as well. The following list highlights a few things none of us can do, without a license or permit from the government. They take more of our money; and we can pat ourselves on the head, because we live in a free country where we're allowed to do these things! Yay, us!!

There are a few items on that list, I can understand the need for a permit of some type; but most of those items should require nothing more than the knowledge of how to do it. For example, why do we need a license/permit to go fishing, hunt, get married, or breed dogs? The short answer is...money; the government loves to invent more reasons to take our hard-earned money from us. They intend to keep us poor; and then vilify those of us who have to ask for financial assistance, just to make ends meet, properly.
And don't get me started on how the Federal Government caters to Corporate America, over the needs of We the People, when it comes to following the law! Billionaires and politicians get away with breaking laws, far more often than we do. The law books are full of rules we're supposed to follow, that they declare themselves exempt from following. They have the liberty to live as they please, where our lives are dictated by them. The double standard is disgusting!
And with all the power we've given them, they continue to keep us divided amongst ourselves; propagating lies, and rehearsed narratives, concerning things like race relations, social class, human rights, politics, religion, etc. So, you see, calling ourselves the United States of America is not an authentic identity.
We are not joined together for a common purpose, or by common feelings, on any level. I would love to see the day when We the People united together, overthrow the government, and begin taking care of ourselves and each other.
