The United States is Not United

Using that title as the name our country, is laughable. The definition of “united” is… joined together politically, for a common purpose, or by common feelings The only time We the People were united for a common purpose, was when we stormed the land, claimed it as our own, and committed genocide against the original inhabitants; instead of moving into the new “neighborhood”, and making friends with our neighbors. And, even though we’ve been an official country for 244 years, Indigenous people are still being treated like a Third World country by federal, state, and local governments. Once we became our own Nation, the division began with the concept of political parties, back in 1787; the leaders of the New World began disagreeing about how much power their new government should have. The Federalist Party wanted a strong, centralized government; and buddied up to what would later become known as Corporate America. My Political Ideologies, in a Nutshell

Yesterday, I was fortunate to have a conversation with someone who opened my eyes, and got me to see how blinded by The Establishment I had become, even though I claim to be a "Free Thinker". Eyes front, Little Girl; play time is over! I've always voted my conscious; which is why there have been times when I didn't vote, at all. Nothing any of those candidates said, promised, etc ever jived with me. I have never flown a specific party flag, save for one time; and that was a necessary part of survival, at the time. I lived with a staunch Republican, and had nowhere else to call home. If I didn't play the game, I knew I would've either caused strife in the house, or become homeless. My beliefs are very simple...human beings should be treated like human beings . Full stop. Shall Not Be Infringed

The Constitution of the United States is under attack! The current Administration is usurping the rights of We the People, more and more, the closer we get to Election Day 2020. The United States is not supposed to have a Federal Police Force; and yet, here we are...peaceful protesters in Portland, OR and Chicago, IL are under attack, by what's being called a Gestapo! Some of them have even been kidnapped by these secret police, and taken to undisclosed locations. Where are all the 2nd Amendment chest beating, gun-loving, Constitution hugging, "Don't Tread on Me", self-proclaimed patriots, these days?? They're the ones who have sworn the 2nd Amendment was written to protect all of us from a tyrannical government...so why aren't they practicing their rights to protect the protesters from Trump's Gestapo?? Independence Day - Happy Birthday, America!

As a Nation, we are independent; we gained our independence from British rule, on this day, in 1776. But, through the years, We the People have lost sight of what independence truly means. The definition of "independent" is... not influenced or controlled by others in matters of opinion, conduct, etc.; thinking or acting for oneself We have been controlled or influenced by our own government, Hollywood, the media, and each other for over a century! And it's become so commonplace, most of you who read this will either be confused about this, or offended that I even said that. But, it's true; We the People have been groomed to think, feel, act etc by so many, we've lost the ability to think for ourselves. That's why racism is so prevalent, these days. It's common; our country was built on racism! The Colonists stole the land from Indigenous people, killing hundreds of thousands along the way; possibly millions. And then they had Africans...

Fair and Equitable Representation - Society's Biggest Myth

First of all, let me explain that I am in no way trying to diminish the Black Lives Matter movement, with this post. I fully support their cause! But we are still missing the point of equality for all, because we're ignoring the Asian-American population and the Indigenous population; not to mention, the lack of publicity the LGBTQ community has received during Pride Month. ALL LIVES will matter, as soon as a person's race/ethnicity, skin color, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, etc. no longer governs how society treats them! Human beings, regardless of who they are, have rights ; and it's astonishingly absurd that, in 2020, marginalized groups of people STILL need to fight the status quo, when it comes to securing their own rights as human beings! Slavery may have been abolished, but oppression is still widely practiced. And it is high time the rest of us got real with ourselves, and made whatever efforts are necessary to abolish oppression, as well. ...

Do All Lives Really Matter? Racism in America

I just want to make this clear to all who can read this. All lives have never mattered, in America! White people's lives have mattered more than any other race, in this country, since Day 1. The United States of America was stolen from Native Americans, who are now on the verge of extinction; and built by African slaves. This year, we will be celebrating our 244th birthday, as a Nation. The Civil Rights Act was signed into law, on July 2, 1964; and to this day, our "great nation" continues to treat people of color like 2nd class citizens. Immigrants in the U.S. as a whole have lower levels of education than the U.S.-born population; regardless of their immigration status. In America, 76% of Millionaires are white. The Poverty rate for Blacks and Hispanics is more than double that of non-Hispanic Whites.  The poverty rate of Native Americans is 25%. Everyone already knows Trump is going to be the Republican nominee, for President. So I'm going to focus this blog entry on the Democratic race. If you're a Democrat, or are planning on voting Dem, please read this! If you're a registered Republican, you're welcome to read it, as well. I don't fly party flags, or discriminate against either party. I was Team Pete, until it was disclosed that he was courting big money donors; that was a massive disappointment to me! I’ve been following the other candidates, as well; and am also disappointed that all but one of the women have dropped out of the race.
